COCOBOUM! Privacy Policy

Effective 2 October 2026 · CONTE GAMES STUDIO

In short

1. Who is responsible?

COCOBOUM! is published by Anthony Conte, sole trader (French « entrepreneur individuel »), trading as CONTE GAMES STUDIO (SIRET 490 066 602 00056), 42 C rue du Général de Gaulle, 42400 Saint-Chamond, France. Contact: contegamesstudio@gmail.com.

The publisher is the "controller" within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for its own part. Google, Apple and Unity decide some processing themselves: they are then responsible for it, under their own policies (see section 3).

2. Data that stays on your phone

This data is stored in a save file on your device. It is not sent to the publisher:

If you uninstall the game, this data is deleted from your device. The game has no online save: progress cannot be recovered afterwards.

3. Data processed by our partners

3.1 Ads: Google AdMob

The game shows rewarded ads, which you choose to watch to earn a bonus, and ads between levels. The "No ads" purchase removes the latter; rewarded ads always stay optional. Only ads rated for all audiences are requested.

To do so, Google's Mobile Ads SDK is built into the game. According to Google, it may collect: your IP address (which gives an approximate location, not a precise address), device identifiers (advertising ID, other app-related identifiers), interactions (app launches, taps, ads viewed) and diagnostic and performance data. This data is used to show ads, measure their effectiveness, produce statistics and prevent fraud. It is encrypted in transit.

3.2 In-app purchases: Apple, Google and Unity

Optional purchases (coins, packs, unlimited lives, "No ads") are paid through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google process the payment under their own rules; the publisher never receives your payment details. The game only receives the purchase confirmation to give you your content.

The Unity In-App Purchasing module (Unity Technologies) connects the game to the store. According to Unity, it may process technical purchase-related data (player and installation identifiers, device information, country, purchase history) to make purchases work and for statistics. See Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

3.3 Game engine: Unity

The game is built with the Unity engine. No Unity analytics service (Unity Analytics, crash reporting) is enabled in the game.

3.4 Game Center (iPhone)

On iPhone, if the game uses Apple's Game Center and you are signed in, it may send your scores (level total, weekly points, duels won) to Game Center for leaderboards, and show other players' best scores with their Game Center name. You can sign out of Game Center in your iPhone settings. This data is processed by Apple: Apple Privacy Policy.

4. Purposes and legal bases

PurposeLegal basis (GDPR)
Running the game and its save on your phonePerformance of the service you request (no data is sent to the publisher)
Adapting ads to your ageLegal obligation to protect minors; the answer stays on your phone
Personalised ads, access to device identifiers where the law requires itYour consent, which you can withdraw at any time
Non-personalised ads, fraud prevention, Google statisticsUnder Google's rules (see 3.1)
In-app purchasesPerformance of the purchase contract; legal obligations (accounting)
Answering your messagesThe publisher's legitimate interest in replying to you

5. Your choices and how to withdraw consent

Withdrawing consent changes nothing in the game and does not affect what was done before.

6. Children and teenagers

COCOBOUM! is a game for all ages. On first launch, the game asks for the player's year of birth, without suggesting an answer and without saying what the answer changes. This information stays on the phone. As the day of birth is not asked, the game always assumes the youngest possible age.

7. How long

8. Recipients and transfers outside the European Union

The data described in section 3 is processed by Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC), Apple and Unity Technologies. Some of it may be transferred outside the European Union, in particular to the United States. These companies state that they cover such transfers with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (for example the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework): see their privacy policies.

The publisher does not sell your data.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its use, object to it, receive it (portability), withdraw your consent and give instructions about it after your death. As the publisher holds almost no data about you, most of these requests are made directly to Google, Apple or Unity (links in section 3); the publisher can help you.

You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the authority of your country.

10. Security

Data sent by our partners is encrypted in transit. Game data stays on your device, protected by your own settings (passcode, fingerprint, etc.).

11. Changes

If this policy changes (for example when an online leaderboard arrives), the new version will be published at the same address with its date, and announced in the game if the change is significant.
